AHP Merkle Develops First Customer CD-ROM with PARTsolutions Version 9



Since the beginning of this year, AHP Merkle GmbH has been adding a customer CD-ROM with CADENAS’ PARTsolutions Version 9 software to the new edition of its print product catalog.

Version 9 of the strategic parts management system by CADENAS, which appeared end of December, bridges the gap between the paper and electronic product catalog and is thus the ideal addition for the print version of the new AHP Merkle product catalog.

„With the new 14 language CD-ROM attached to our paper catalog, we are providing our customers with all the important digital CAD data of our products and are thus simplifying their constructions“, says Patrick Mußler, responsible for international sales and generation of catalog information at AHP Merkle.

With the accompanying CD-ROM, the hydraulic cylinder manufacturer offers its customers the PARTsolutions license for its electronic product catalog. With this CADENAS software, the users can integrate the CAD parts by AHP Merkle into their own CAD systems and use them in their constructions.

The new PARTsolutions Version 9 presents itself to the catalog customers in the accustomed AHP Merkle view. In addition, it offers user the possibility to export PDF datasheets in AHP Merkle’s corporate design for all CAD parts. These datasheets contain all important information of the selected part, such as for example, a dimensioning diagram, which of late is created automatically.

The New Shortening Function

Version 9 by PARTsolutions also offers a new innovative feature for the customers of the hydraulic cylinder manufacturer: the shortening function for 2-D derivations. Since very little can be recognized in the 2-D views of longer AHP Merkle cylinders, these are automatically shortened in the middle, by the new CADENAS technology. So that the user can continue to get all correct measurements, an automatic dimensioning is show in addition to this.
